FORT CHERRY SCHOOL DISTRICT
HELPING HANDS PROGRAM

FORT CHERRY HELPING HANDS is a monthly, school-based food distribution program that provides a monthly box of food to any child's family living in the Fort Cherry District (ages infant to high school senior).  Approximately 43% of our student population live with food insecurity.  This program helps fill the gaps at home providing food to our families who need some assistance. Funding for this program is from solely private sources and comes from businesses and churches in the area as well as individuals in our community. Monetary donations are greatly needed to continue to fund this program.

WILL YOU BE TRAVELING?
If so, please pick up any unused complimentary hygiene items from your hotel or resort. These are used to make care packages for the Washington City Mission and, when needed, sent to those affected by natural disasters and taken to Fort Cherry for the Helping Hands Program. Those “free” items are appreciated and used in many ways! There is a crate in the main entrance foyer to place your items.
