FORT CHERRY SCHOOL DISTRICT
HELPING HANDS PROGRAM

FORT CHERRY HELPING HANDS is a monthly, school-based food distribution program that provides a monthly box of food to any child's family living in the Fort Cherry District (ages infant to high school senior).  Approximately 43% of our student population live with food insecurity.  This program helps fill the gaps at home providing food to our families who need some assistance. Funding for this program is from solely private sources and comes from businesses and churches in the area as well as individuals in our community. Monetary donations are greatly needed to continue to fund this program.
Our Deacons' Special Project
Please continue to think about those that are financially poor and food poor. The Deacons of our church are encouraging you to bring non-perishable food items to the church for the Fort Cherry Helping Hands Program.
If you are unable to drop your donations off on Sunday's someone will be at the church every day, Monday thru Friday from 9:00 am till 3:30 pm.

If you don’t necessarily want to pick up items at the store to donate, monetary donations are also needed and appreciated.  If you are interested in sponsoring a Helping Hands child for the school year, the cost would be $6 a month or $54 a school year.  Donations in any amount are also welcomed and appreciated. If donating for this cause, please make check out to Hickory United EPC and note FC Helping Hands on your check.
